Erasmus +, to scale company

The Erasmus + Climbing for everybody wishes to make known to a wide audience the values and opportunities of mountain. And the second meeting, which took place this summer in Slovakia, testifies that the objectives have been achieved

We left in the autumn of last year, with the presentation of the project Erasmus + Climbing for everybody defined, by six federations participating, a means to "disclose and make the public aware of the mountain vision, values and traditions in different countries, highlighting especially the potential and positive impact on the health, of the activities carried out in mountaineering associations environment».

After a week at the nature park of Adrspach-Teplice ", featuring climbing on sandstone towers, the Italian team has expanded and improved in the past few months its harmony roped, so as to reach the meeting held from 17 at 23 June 2017, Popradske pleso, High Tatras in Slovakia. Erasmus + "Climbing for Everybody" is undoubtedly a source of aggregate for mountaineers, climbers and hikers who will see enriched their knowledge and awareness of the Alpine environment

HEAVENLY PLACE

The second meeting took place in a paradisiacal place: set on a placid lake in a wooded valley; our accommodation, a mountain hotel, hosted us by providing us with some unexpected comfort. The rock that I pressed in, high quality granite, was characterized by plaques of adherence, corners and crevices: what you'd call an athletic climbing.

It was possible to engage in different activities depending on the characteristics and desires of participants. We are dedicated to cords and sport routes during the days of bad weather in "Cliff House" Ostrva: going up AliNina (VI +), Pavlìn-kracalic, Dieskova (VII-), Carpe Diem (VIII), cas Spravni (VIII). We approached great routes completely to integrate any difficulty on Maly Osarpanec and Volia Veza, where were formed two special teams: Martino Brambilla took the opportunity to climb the "via del camino" with a buddy exceptional, Igor Koller; While John Bertolini has chained the two most difficult routes on Volia Veza with fellow Hungarian Aron Rigo. There are those who chose to undertake excursions in the Park by climbing the peaks Rysy and Tupa: among the highest in the mountain range; Ultra classical but impressive ridges or unwinding. There was also the call even the practice of boulder, attempted even at night: there are some interesting open problems from Adam Ondra, who attracted the strongest athletes. Although, sport climbing, the true protagonist, there have been cultural opportunities to encourage the creation of ties of cooperation between the Alpine clubs of all nations present: were arranged several evenings to know the Park of the High Tatras and the climbing history of Czechoslovakia and were summoned to a sales rep working groups each nation concerning the environment, youth, mountain medicine, protected areas and the Organization of the club.

A PROGRAM THAT AGGREGATES

Erasmus + Climbing for Everybody is undoubtedly a source of aggregate for mountaineers, climbers and hikers who will see enriched their knowledge and awareness of the Alpine environment through contact with people from completely different contexts; It also hopes to be a model for many other future projects involving young people within the Cai.

All readers of this magazine, especially if active in Chamber, will know the issues that our society is experiencing in recent years: a drastic drop of the band "Juniors" and children who not only are approaching the mountain, being loads of sports and school commitments, but have disappeared from everyday life section. In whatever field you look few under thirty engaged as instructors, companions or just active participants, despite the concessions and initiatives that have started in recent years. Erasmus + you want to propose as a pioneer, bringing about foreign mountaineering reality those who, although not national level athletes, actively carry out its activities of Junior partner. We believe, moreover, is not limited as "in a meeting of this kind have been preserved both safety (if possible) of the individual, both the free choice to go as far as you feel, knowing that the decision to venture into a given place It is only ourselves, preserving in this way the freedom that it gives me unfettered prerogative of the mountain, "said Julia Paris. "In short, it was a beautiful week, where we struggled and climbed, but we also had fun: we made new friends, rinsaldandone others already narrow to Adrspach, we got to know new places, new customs and habits, we have tried to bring forward all aspects that are object of this project ' (Thomas Gusmeo, under the project). We just have to give us appointment next meeting, Paklenica.
